Riding on the success of the Polo 1.2, VW now introduces the more powerful and energetic 1.6 variant of the Polo at Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom, new Delhi)

After introducing the Polo in its sedan form as the Vento, Volkswagen has now added a 1.6 litre variant to the Polo brand. This can be rightfully termed as a hot-hatch for the Indian market with its 1.6 litre 4-cylinder petrol motor churning out 105PS of power at 5,250rpm and a torque output of 153Nm @ 3,750rpm. Power is put down via a 5-speed transmission that offers trademark Volkswagen smooth shifts. Aimed at customers looking for an exciting driving experience backed by German engineering, the new Polo 1.6 L promises to deliver a fine mix of performance and efficiency.

Available only in the top-of-the-line Highline form, Volkswagen has sensitively priced the Polo 1.6 l at Rs. 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Polo 1.6 l in its Highline guise will feature the same equipment level as seen on its Polo 1.2 l Highline sibling. The car is being manufactured at Volkswagen?s Chakan facility, near Pune and is now available at all Volkswagen dealerships across the country.
