Windows Media Player slow to open files – Fix

If you are experiencing a nagging delay before windows media player starts playing a file.

This is how to fix the issue of windows media player slow to play media files.

1. Control Panel > Sound > Playback Tab > Double Click on Speakers > Enhancements Tab > Disable all enhancements.

2. Open Windows Media Player > Options > Privacy Tab > Deselect Everything (except History options)
