@MrShnazer . I am writing in English because most of my ancestors were English, Scottish, Dutch and German colonists! The rest were black Africans and slaves bought to SA from Asia. Like most “white” South Africans we claim a mixed-up history. So I know what racism and colonialism means from both sides. Rape is a problem in SA, but should not be used by racists to justify their warped beliefs – it has a history in which they are implicated!

@kingdomofdalriada – as a woman in South Africa I can only agree that rape is a big problem in some areas. But, I don’t think you are writing this because you give a shit about women, but because you want to create a negative image of the country. Sexual violence did not come from nowhere – apartheid and colonialism raped this country first, and the answer doesn’t lie in twisted racism that started it all in the first place. Go and enjoy some real World Cup “gees” like the rest of SA.
